sophie

Sophie (she/her) has spent eight years working with elementary-, middle-, and high-school aged kids as a sports coach, in-school mentor, and summer camp counselor. Originally from California, she stayed in the Philadelphia area after college and has worked in Philly schools for the last three years. She loves the joy, connection, and growth that happens when teaching through play and creative practices. Some of her favorite memories are when kids have overcome nerves or frustration to learn something new. In her free time, she loves to hike, read, take language classes, watch women’s sports, volunteer, and do crafts with friends. She’s currently going back to school to pursue creative writing.
