JEANNINE

 Jeannine is a Philadelphia born and raised Poet and Spoken Word Artist. As a self-published author with over a decade of writing experience, she encourages others to find their voices through art. Initially writing short stories, then music, and next poetry, she explores various themes taken from her life experiences, and those of other people.

Her mother worked in neighborhood elementary schools, and encouraged play through arts and crafts for any child willing to explore their own potential and expand their horizon. Jeannine strives to do the same. She enjoys working with youth in different phases of their lives in an effort to show them that they are not limited by what they see. She encourages self-discovery and expression in healthy ways.

In her free time, Jeannine enjoys going to concerts, discovering good food in local neighborhoods, and attending open mics. Although English is her first language, Mandarin Chinese is her favorite. Her love of different cultures coupled with her desire to help others, has shaped who she is as an artist today.
