General Information

half day camps

Half Day Camps are located at Moffet, Adaire, and Hackett Elementary Schools and are only for children who attend PlayLoud AfterSchool at these locations.

You can register “By-the-Day” for care from 12-3pm or 12-6pm OR with a discounted camp package that covers every Half Day Camp from 12pm-6pm.

full day camps

Full Day Camps are located at the Maas Building, located at 1320 N. 5th St. in South Kensington. Full Day Camps are open to the public, for children ages 5-10.

You can register “By-the-Day” for care from 9am-3pm or 9am-6pm OR with a discounted camp package that covers every Full Day Camp from 12pm-6pm.

Moffet/Hackett Pre-K Families: Registered PlayLoud AfterSchool Pre-K students are eligible to attend Half Day Camps located at their regular school site. Due to licensing restrictions, however, we cannot accommodate children younger than 5 years old for Full Day Camps at Maas.

Non-AfterSchool Family To Dos and Knows

Paperwork is required for your child in advance of their attendance in Full Day Camps.

Please complete and return at least 2 days in advance of your child’s camp attendance.

Please remember to send your child with the following:

  • Lunch

  • Water bottle

  • Snack (x2 if your child stays for AfterCamp Care between 3-6pm)

  • Appropriate clothing and shoes for outdoor play

  • Any necessary medication (Please ensure you have spoken with us and completed the required paperwork if your child has allergies or requires medication.)

REGISTRATION

Full and Half Day Camp dates are based on the currently published Philadelphia School District Calendar 2025-26. These camp days may change if a new calendar is published.

  • Registration Policy: Registration for “Camp By-the-Day” closes 48 hours before each day camp. Monday camps will close the Friday before at noon. Late registrations for Day Camps or AfterCamp Clubs should be sent via email to schoolageprograms@playartsphilly.com. Late registrations impact lesson planning, staffing, and teacher preparation, thus acceptance is at the discretion of our staff. If your late registration is accepted, you will be charged an additional $10 per child as a late fee. 

  • Cancellation Policy: Full and Half Day “Camp By-the-Day” Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund in the form of account credit. This credit can be applied to future Full and Half Day Camps. If you do not communicate your cancellation within this timeframe, a credit will not be issued. The only exception for late cancellations is illness.

    • Camps purchased through a package cannot be refunded, as package pricing is already deeply discounted and covers all scheduled camp dates. We cannot offer refunds for client cancelations or unused camp dates, except in the case of cancelations made by PlayArts or the Philadelphia School District.
