Bobbie waugaman
Bobbie Waugaman (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist and educator based in Philadelphia. They earned their BFA in General Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where they developed a comprehensive skillset in painting, drawing, metalworking, ceramics, sculpture and printmaking.
Bobbie has worked with Maryland Art Place, where they helped coordinate youth programs and curated regional and national exhibitions. They have taught art to a wide range of students, from elementary through college level, with a focus on making creative exploration accessible and engaging for all ages.
They have exhibited work at venues including Gallery CA and Night Owl Gallery, and their work has been featured in BmoreArt. In 2024, they participated in the Isla de Crear artist residency in Úbeda, Spain, where they expanded their collaborative and immersive art-making practice.
As a teaching artist with PlayArts, Bobbie is passionate about making art accessible, exploratory, and—above all—fun. They encourage students to express themselves freely and connect through creative play.
