Shira is a professional theatre director, educator, and enthusuast. Originally from Boston, she moved to Philly around 7 years ago for the theatre school at the University of the Arts. She graduated as the Valedictorian in 2016 and has been teaching and freelancing ever since. She is a 3rd year teacher with ASAP Drama, which provides theatre and arts programming to public and charter schools in need, as well as the Hilltop Theatre Director for JCC Camps At Medford for ages 3-7. She spends her Sundays teaching arts and ethics to 2nd graders at Rodeph Shalom. Theatre is her passion and passing it on to students is her life mission. She is so excited to be joining the PlayArts team and looks forward to some unique creations!
